The School Site Council (SSC) at MWES is responsible for the oversight of the implementation of our Single Plan for Student Achievement. It serves as the categorical decision making board at our school and as an advisory council to the principal, half of the membership is made up of school staff members including the principal, teacher and classified staff, and the other half is comprised of elected parents/community members.
There are currently vacant seats on the SSC board that need to be filled. Two brief orientation meeting will be held this week. These meetings will provide an overview of the committee, its responsibilities and oversight, as well as information about the election process. All parents are invited to attend. The orientations meetings are scheduled as follows (please choose the one that works best for you):
- Monday, August 26, 2013 – 3:00pm in the Library
- Thursday, August 29, 2013 – 8:15am in the MPR
