All the letters, faxes and phone calls that were sent in last week to our LAUSD Board representatives were heard. The Board decided to postpone their vote till March 13th, in an effort to find alternate solutions to cut $557 million out of their $6 billion budget. The cuts they are proposing include 100% elimination of the VAPA (visual and performing arts) program at the elementary school level, cuts to adult education as well as district preschools.
